DOES MY PASSPORT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS TO TRAVEL TO INDONESIA ?
To travel to Indonesia, your passport must be valid for six months or longer, include two empty pages, and comply with entry regulations. For confirmation, contact the Indonesian Embassy in your country.
IS A VISA REQUIRED TO ENTER INDONESIA ?
Indonesia currently provides Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) for a wide list of countries, and grants visa-free stays of up to 30 days for travelers from specific ASEAN nations.
List of counties for VISA Exemption :
- Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar , Singapore, Vietnam
- Children aged 14 years and under cannot use the autogate facility. Children traveling with their parents can go to the manual Immigration inspection counter.

“ALL INDONESIA” – THE NEW ONLINE SYSTEM REQUIRED FOR EVERY TRAVELER ENTERING INDONESIA ?
Effective from September 2025 onwards, After confirming your passport validity and completing your e-VoA or visa exemption, the next step is to register on the ‘All Indonesia’ website or app (available on App Store and Google Play). This digital portal combines immigration, customs, and health declarations into a single form, replacing older systems like SATUSEHAT and e-CD.”the official website allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.
Travelers fill out this form within 3 days (ideally 72 hours) prior to arrival
Upon submission, a QR code is generated and sent via email, which must be presented to immigration/customs upon arrival
Multiple family members can be added. The application allows you to apply for family members by filling in the required data for each individual.
Important to note
The new All Indonesia Arrival Card is not a visa. It’s a mandatory digital entry declaration (immigration + customs + health) but does not replace visa requirements
Visa: You still need to obtain the correct visa for your visit (Visa on Arrival, e-VOA, free visa for certain ASEAN nationals, or other visa types depending on your nationality and purpose).
WHAT ARE THE CABIN ARRANGEMENTS FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS ?
Cabins are primarily offered on a twin-share basis. Solo travelers can reserve one of the four single cabins available at the single-cabin rate. If these are already taken, private use of a twin or suite cabin is possible with a 70% supplement on the diver rate. When sharing, we will pair guests with a same-sex roommate.

- Alor – Lamalera (AL route) : Check in until 1300 hrs / Check out until 1500 hrs
- Crossing routes (ACR , RHL route) : Check in until 1300 hrs / Check out until 1500 hrs
HOW CAN I FLY TO THE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS TO BOARD PANUNEE ?
It is essential to plan your flight so that you arrive at your destination with enough time before our embarkation time.
Listed below are the cities for each airport of embarkation/disembarkation on Panunee
- Komodo (KM route) : Labuan Bajo (LBJ)
- Ambon-Banda (AB route) : Ambon (AMQ)
- Raja Ampat (RA, RAM route) : Sorong (SOQ)
- Alor-Lamalera (AL route) : Mali , Alor (ARD)
- Crossing route Ambon-Banda-Raja Ampat (ACR route) : Embarkation airport = Ambon (AMQ), Disembarkation airport = Sorong (SOQ)
- Crossing route Raja Ampat – Misool – Halmahera – Lembeh (RHL route) : Embarkation

WILL DIVING BE SCHEDULED ON THE FIRST DAY ?
Only 4 routes include 2 dives on the arrival day, after all guests are on board in time. These are: Komodo (KM), Ambon–Banda (AB), Alor–Lamalera (AL), and the Ambon–Banda–Raja Ampat crossing (ACR).”
IS THERE INTERNET OR WIFI AVAILABLE ON BOARD ?
Satellite Wi-Fi service (Starlink) is available onboard. Here are the prices
Lite connect voucher : 5GB =USD 20
Turbo connect voucher : 10GB =USD 30
The WiFi voucher can be purchased on board.
Mobile: Travelers who need a local SIM card with internet access will find Telkomsel a reliable option. You can easily purchase one upon arrival at Jakarta or Bali airports. Be aware that reception in many remote areas, especially near ports, may be weak or inconsistent. It’s recommended to ask the Telkomsel staff to configure your phone on the spot to ensure your data package is working correctly. If you prefer using your home SIM, confirm with your mobile operator before departure that international roaming is supported in Indonesia.
Using it for video streaming or transferring large files is not advised, as your data allowance may run out quickly.”
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE FLYING AFTER DIVING ?
Following DAN International guidelines, the recommended minimum surface intervals before boarding your flight are as follows
- Multi-day or Repetitive , NO DECO dives : 18+ hours
- Mandatory DECO dives : 24+hours
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TRIP ?
Your package covers all nights’ accommodation, five meals a day (with light breakfast and afternoon snacks), coffee, tea, and soft drinks. dive-towels, in-room towels, shampoo, body wash, and daily cabin service are provided. Diving essentials such as a standard air tank, weight belt, weights, and the support of a dive guide (Maximum 5 divers / dive guide) are also included.
WHAT DIVING CERTIFICATION DO I NEED TO JOIN THE TRIP ?
All divers must hold at least an Open Water Diver certification. For safety reasons, each destination requires a different minimum number of logged dives:
- Komodo (KM): at least 70 logged dives
- Ambon–Banda (AB): at least 100 logged dives
- Raja Ampat (RA, RAM): at least 50 logged dives
- Alor–Lamalera (AL) and all Crossing routes: at least 150 logged dives
Dive sites and groupings are arranged according to each diver’s experience and comfort level. Final decisions on dive planning are made by our dive team to ensure your safety.
WHAT IS THE DIVER-TO-GUIDE RATIO ON BOARD ?
Each dive guide looks after a maximum of 5 divers to ensure safety and personalized attention
Important notification : For safety reasons, diving alone (solo diving ) is not allowed, even if you hold a solo diver certification.
IS THE NITROX AVAILABLE ON BOARD ?
It is available with extra fees.

WHAT TYPE OF TANKS ARE PROVIDED ON BOARD — DIN OR YOKE ?
Our tanks include both DIN and Yoke valves, and each DIN valve has an insert that allows it to be used with an A-clamp (Yoke) regulator.
RENTAL EQUIPMENT ON BOARD
Can I rent dive equipment on board?
Rental gear is available for an extra fee and subject to availability. To secure the right items and sizes, please book in advance.
Rental Equipment fee :
BCD = USD 10/diving day
Regulator = USD 10/diving day
Full-Foot Fins= USD 10/diving day
Mask = USD 8/diving day
Wetsuit (3mm only) = USD 8/diving day
Full set (BCD + Reg + Fins + Mask + Wetsuit) = USD 40/set/day
Dive Computer = USD 10/diving day
Big Tank = USD 12/diving day
WHAT IS THE WATER TEMPERATURE LIKE ?
Water temperatures vary depending on the destination. As a general guide:
- Komodo North : around 26-28°C / Komodo South : around 22-27°C
- Banda Sea: around 22-30°C
- Raja Ampat: around 27-30°C
- Alor- Lamalera : around 22-26°C
DO I NEED MY OWN DIVE COMPUTER ?
Yes. Indonesian regulations require every diver to use a personal dive computer. If you don’t have one, rental units are available on board for an additional fee. (USD 10/diving day, Subject on availability)
ARE THERE DEDICATED CAMERA STATIONS ON BOARD PANUNEE ?
Panunee provides a dedicated camera station along with rinse tanks and an air gun for drying your equipment before bringing it inside
WHAT KIND OF POWER OUTLETS CAN I FIND THROUGHOUT PANUNEE AND VOLTAGE ?
We use 220V grounded outlets (three-prong sockets)

HOW’S THE FOOD ON BOARD ?
Dining on board is an important part of your liveaboard experience. Each day begins with freshly baked bread, followed by a variety of hearty meals and light bites to keep you energized between dives. Our Thai and Indonesian chefs prepare three generous meals daily, offering a flavorful mix of Thai, Asian, and Western cuisine. Fresh tropical fruits, light breakfast items, and afternoon snacks are also served, so you’ll never go hungry.
Hot drinks such as tea and coffee are available around the clock, along with drinking water. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice, so you can relax and enjoy every meal with peace of mind.
ARE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AVAILABLE ON BOARD ?
We sell local beer on board at USD 4 per regular can, and soda or tonic at USD 1 per can. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are not available on board, so guests who wish to enjoy them are encouraged to purchase from duty-free shops before boarding.
We kindly remind everyone to drink responsibly and in moderation, as diving activities require you to stay alert and safe.
WHAT COSTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE TRIP PRICE AND NEED TO BE SETTLED DIRECTLY ON BOARD ?
Additional expenses not included in the trip price may consist of park and port fees, fuel surcharge (if applicable), alcoholic beverages, rental equipment and nitrox fill. These items are to be settled directly on board.
FUEL SURCHARGE POLICY
All trips are subject to a fuel surcharge. The fees are charged per person and will be collected on board during check-in.
Rates for standard routes
- Ambon–Banda Sea (AB route) / All regular crossing trips (ACR, RHL routes): USD 200 per person.
- Komodo (KM route) : USD 150 per person
- Raja Ampat Central (RA route) : USD 150 per person
- Raja Ampat – Misool (RAM routes): USD 180 per person.
- These rates are subject to change at any time; however, no adjustments will be applied to trips departing within 30 days.
- For customized routes, fuel surcharges will vary depending on the length of the trip and destination
HOW DO I SETTLE ADDITIONAL EXPENSES ON BOARD ?
Onboard expenses can be settled in USD cash. Please ensure your bills are clean, untorn, unmarked, and not older than 10 years, as damaged or outdated notes cannot be accepted.
WILL THERE BE ANY LAND EXCURSIONS DURING THE CRUISE ?
Yes, our trips include shore excursions such as village visits, scenic walks, or beach stops. We suggest bringing closed shoes for comfort and safety.
CAN I STAY ON BOARD BETWEEN BACK-TO-BACK TRIPS ?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to stay on board between back-to-back trips. Our crew uses this time to refresh the boat, handle maintenance, and restock everything so that your next adventure starts in perfect condition.
IS TRAVELING INSURANCE REQUIRED FOR MY TRIP ?
Yes, all guests must have valid travel insurance arranged before the trip, as it is not included in the package and cannot be purchased on board. Coverage should include medical emergencies, cancellations, and travel disruptions, and we recommend a comprehensive plan with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR).
Please note: Panunee cannot be held responsible for trip interruptions, cancellations, or additional expenses such as flights and hotels caused by circumstances beyond our control.
IS DIVE INSURANCE MANDATORY ?
All guests must have valid dive insurance arranged before the trip, as it is mandatory under Indonesian government regulations and is not included in the package nor available for purchase on board. Please ensure your policy covers dive-related incidents, medical care, and emergency evacuation.
IS EMERGENCY OXYGEN AVAILABLE ON BOARD ?
Yes, we always carry emergency oxygen on board for diving and medical situations.
IF NEEDED, WHERE CAN I ACCESS A RECOMPRESSION CHAMBER IN INDONESIA ?
Recompression (hyperbaric) chambers are available in several diving regions across Indonesia, including Waisai (Raja Ampat), Bali, Manado, and Jakarta, with additional facilities in other regional centers. In case of a diving emergency, our crew will coordinate evacuation to the nearest operational chamber.
